L-Isoleucine is a white crystalline flake or crystalline powder. Slightly bitter. Odourless. Sublimation temperature 168-170.Essential amino acids for normal infant development and adult nitrogen balance. There are four isomers, and only the l-type can have physiological effects. Excessive consumption will antagonize with L-leucine and hinder development. Adult male requirements 1.3g/100ml.
