Methionine
L-Methionine, DL-Methionine
L-Methionine
Descriptions:
L-Methionine, also known as l-methionine, is a left-handed form of methionine. It is colorless or white shiny flake crystal or white crystalline powder with a special smell and slightly bitter taste. Melting point 280 ~ 281℃.Instability to strong acids may lead to demethylation. Dissolved in water (5.6g/100mL,30℃), warm dilute ethanol, alkaline solution or dilute inorganic acid. Hardly soluble in ethanol, hardly soluble in ethyl ether. Toxicity: LD50 29mmol/kg (rat, intraperitoneal injection).
Applications:
1. Nutrition supplement is also used for adjuvant treatment of pneumonia, cirrhosis and fatty liver
2. Feed additives
DL-Methionine
Descriptions:
DL-Methionine is a white sheet of crystalline or powder. DL-Methionine is the "skeleton" amino acid of biosynthetic protein, which has a strong regulatory effect on animal metabolism and is widely used in medicine, food, feed, cosmetics and other fields.
Applications:
1. In terms of medicine, it can be used as the main component of amino acid infusion and compound amino acids, as well as for the synthesis of medicinal vitamins, which can be used for the production of liver-protecting preparations by utilizing its anti-fatty liver function
2. In terms of food, it is used for the amino acid strengthening of food and the processing of food health care products. It can be used as a nutrient supplement
3. In the feed industry, DL-Methionine is used as the largest amount of methionine, which is used as a nutrient fortifier of feed and a feed additive to make up for amino acid balance. Among the amino acid nutritional feed additives, methionine 60%, lysine 30% and other amino acids account for about 10%
