L-Histidine is colorless acicular or flake crystal, softened at 277℃ and decomposed at 287℃. At 25℃, the solubility in water is 41.9g/L, very slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in ether and chloroform.Sweet taste. It is an important component of amino acid infusion and compound amino acid preparation. It can be used to treat gastric ulcer.
